How the correction works
Every syllable is a block built from 2 to 4 letters (jamo). We drew our own stroke data for all 40 jamo and place them in the block using the six standard layouts. When you press Check, your browser lines your strokes up with the model and looks at:
- Stroke count and order. Korean is written top to bottom, left to right. ㄱ before ㅏ, the top of ㅁ before the bottom.
- Direction. Horizontal strokes go left to right, vertical strokes go top to bottom.
- Shape and proportion. A long ㅏ, a batchim that stays small, letters that sit where they belong.
- The whole line. Syllables of the same size on the same line.
Nothing you write leaves your device. We only count how many people finished today's line: one number per day, no names, no cookies.
The model strokes are a clean print style, not the only right way to write. Handwriting varies; treat the score as a guide.
